The General Department of Taxation has developed the program "Accompany start-up enterprises" with the slogan "Start-up in confidence, we accompany you" with specific plans, measures and schedules.

According to Nguyen Dai Tri, Deputy General Director of the Taxation, the target of the program is to create favorable conditions for start-up enterprises to easily access information channels supported by tax offices and fulfill initial tax administrative procedures fastest, most conveniently and economically; to share and accompany enterprises for them to feel comfortable to operate. Through this program, start-up enterprises can access supportive information and instructions from the registration of enterprise’s establishment to the declaration and payment of taxes, use of invoices and accounting books.

To achieve the target, the Taxation has opened many private support channels for start-up enterprises such as setting up direct support points, telephone numbers and email addresses to support start-up enterprises. In particular, the Taxation has built the program “Accompany start-up enterprises" on the website of the General Department of Taxation and websites of 63 local tax authorities. This program provides all necessary information for start-up companies and start-up enterprises can send requests to the tax authorities for guidance and answers.

In response to calls from the Taxation, Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association, Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants and technology enterprises for providing services in the field of providing digital signatures and accounting software, Tax agents also have policies to exempt or reduce service fees for start-up enterprises.

Nguyen Thi Cuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association (VTCA), said that with role as the extended arm of the Tax authorities, the Association has cooperated with the General Department of Taxation and the Hanoi Taxation Department to remove difficulties and obstacles for business households and start-up enterprises and updated free tax policies for its members via email, especially start-up enterprises.

In terms of accounting, Ms Dinh Thi Thuy - General Director of MISA Company said that the company is also implementing many programs to support business households on conversion as well as start-up enterprises. With the spirit of service and support, MISA agrees to provide newly established enterprises in 2017-2020 period a software package valued at 2,950,000 VND; organize training for the use of software and online guiding documents. In addition, MISA also coordinates with tax departments and tax branches to solve problems and provide advice and supports.

Similarly, tax agents also share many practical solutions. Ms Le Hai Yen - Director of Hanoi Tax Consulting Joint Stock Company is committed to providing free legal consultancy; free 15-month declaration support; documentary consultancy and 1-year support of using free accounting software and discounting electronic billing software.

The Taxation offers a comprehensive program to support start-up enterprises, which is important to the Vietnam’s economy and the business community. Along with that is the effort to be a leading unit in the implementation of tax administrative reforms that help the tax declaration, tax refund and tax payment, etc. basically be implemented electronically for publicity, transparency and preventing negativity.

It is likely to believe that that contribution of the Taxation will help the target of 1 million enterprises soon be realized.
