Telephones and computers help Vietnam continues to trade surplus

According to new information released by the General Department of Vietnam Customs in the first half of October, the whole country exported goods with a total turnover was $US 8.951 billion, thereby increasing the total turnover from the beginning of the year to 15/10 reached $US 163.224 billion. Meanwhile, imports in the first half of October reached $US 8.2244 billion, so the total value of imports from the beginning of the year reached $US 162.162 billion. Thus, the country has reached nearly $US 1.09 billion in trade surplus till 15/10.
Notably, in the first half of October, there were three groups of export goods worth $US 1 billion or more that are: telephone and components with $US 2.488 billion; computer, electronic products, and components reached $US 1.105 billion; textiles reached $US 1.027 billion.
In spite of the higher value of textiles in the first half of October, the value of computers, electronic products, and components remained at the third place with the value of $US 19.661 billion; just after phones and components with $US 33.981 billion; textiles was $US 20.232 billion.
In the first half of October, there were two categories of "billion dollars" that are computers, electronic products, and components which reached $US 1.451 billion; machinery, equipment, and spare parts reached $US 1.206 billion. Also, these are the two largest imports from the beginning of the year till 15/10 with the turnover of over $US 20 billion. In that, computers, electronic products and components reached $US 28.686 billion; machinery, equipment, and spare parts reached $US 26.577 billion.
