Tens of new cars left at Hai Phong port

VCN - Among backlogged goods, there are many new cars branded NISSAN which were brought to Tan Vu port (Hai Phong) from the end of last year but no individuals or organisations have come to implement clearance procedures for the cars.

Dinh Vu port Customs Branch sent notices to organisations and individuals related to 184 backlogged shipments stored at Lach Huyen port (Hai Phong City), that are overdue 90 days since the date of arrival but no customs procedures have been implemented.

Notably, earlier, the Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch also announced it would try to find the owner of 26 containers and two backlogged LCL shipments at Tan Vu port and nine backlogged shipments including eight containers and 1 LCL shipment that are being stored at Dinh Vu Petroleum Technical Service Joint Stock Company Port and nine backlogged LCL shipments at Hoang Dieu port.

Among the backlogged shipments at Tan Vu port (Hai Phong), there are dozens of new NISSAN cars, brand new 100%, which arrived since the end of 2019, but no individuals or organisations have come to implement customs procedures for import.

According to the units, the time for receiving goods is 60 days from the issuance date of notice. For perishable goods, frozen goods, goods which are dangerous or toxic substances, and goods that have expiry date of less than 60 days, the time of receiving goods is 15 days from the issuance date of notice.

Within five working days ofthe expiry date for receiving goods according to this notice, if no one comes to receive the goods, Dinh Vu port Customs Branch will report to Director of Hai Phong Customs Department for handling under the guidance of Circular 203/2014/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance.
