To 2025, supportive industry meets 65% of the domestic demand

VCN- In accordance with the development program of supportive industry for 2016-2025 approved by the Prime Minister, by 2020, supportive industry will have met about 45% of demand for domestic production and by 2025, it will have met 65% of the domestic demand.

According to the program, in the period 2020-2025, the authorities will focus on the development of supportive industry in 3 areas: parts and components; supportive industry for textile and footwear; and supportive industry for high-tech industries.

In the area of parts and components, the authorities will develop metal parts and components, plastic - rubber spare parts; electrical and electronic parts and components, meeting 55% of the domestic demand by 2025, promoting the production in high-tech industries.

The supportive industry for textile and footwear will develop materials to meet 65% of domestic textile industry and 75-80% of domestic footwear industry by 2020.

In the field of supportive industry for high-tech industries, the authorities will develop materials and equipment for production of software and services related to high-tech industries; promoting the business system with modern equipment and technology in high-tech industries. Also, the authorities will build enterprises in the field of maintenance, repairs of machinery in line with international standards, as a foundation for the development of the software service industry. Constructing the system for research, development and production of new materials, especially electronic materials.
