Previously, on June 23, Unit 4 (under the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department of the GDVC) chaired and coordinated with the Unit 1 and Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs Branch (Lao Cai Customs Department) to inspect a warehouse of the N.A General Trading Co., Ltd at Kim Thanh International Border Gate No.2, Lao Cai province.
As a result, the Customs force discovered 11,045 products that were handbags, shoes, wallets, belts, sandals, backpacks labeled as Louis Vuiton, Hermes, Versace, Gucci, Chanel and Adidas.
The Customs suspected that these products were fake products and infringed intellectual property rights.
It is known that these products belong to N.A. Import and Export Company Limited.
The Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department said that the suspects gathered goods in a warehouse in the centralized checkpoint, but they have not yet opened customs declaration and waited for favorable conditions to open customs declaration form and transport goods inland for consumption.
N.A. Import and Export Company Limited assigned two people to pick up the two trucks carrying these products from China to Vietnam via Kim Thanh International Border Gate No.2.
The case is being verified and handled by the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department.
