Vietnam’s profile in Asia intensified
Mohamed Youssef, President of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA)
The Egyptians and people in the Middle East have not only learned about Vietnam’s rich history and culture but also favoured Vietnamese goods thanks to their high quality.
As a result, an increasing number of people from Middle Eastern countries are choosing to visit Vietnam or purchasing "Made in Vietnam" goods.
Zina, a resident of Sheikh Zayed city in Egypt, said she has been watching the news in order to gain greater insights into Vietnam’s history from the war and through the Doi Moi (Renewal) period.
Notably, Vietnam has made significant changes in recent years and become the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia.
Mohamed Youssef, President of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA) noted that Vietnam's recent economic development in Southeast Asia serves as a lesson for other countries in the region, especially regarding economic, trade, and investment policies.
Mohamed Youssef stated that the country has emerged as one of the most attractive destinations for investors throughout Asia, adding that the Vietnamese market holds many strengths due to its market size and consumption, in addition to its technological and economic capacities.
He went on to express his confidence that Vietnam will develop into the most important location for investors in Asia over the course of the next few years.
Moreover, the country is also known to people in the Middle East as a peace-loving place as it has been chosen as a venue for many important international events in recent time.
Journalist Ahmed Hassan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt said that the nation has been in the spotlight both regionally and globally in terms of economic and social development apart from being a contributor to global peace and stability.
The journalist emphasised that Vietnam is becoming renowned as a symbol for peace with the country enjoying a strong record of economic development along with its increased level of co-operation with world powers.
