Warning about taking advantage of independent transport to smuggle

Regarding the violations of independent transport, according to the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department, at the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department has prosecuted a criminal case involving two violations. In particular, one case was prosecuted for illegal transportation of goods across the border, one case was prosecuted for smuggling.

Through the verification of the above cases, the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department found that the suspects took advantage of independent transportation to illegally transport goods across the border and smuggle.

Specifically, for the prosecution of illegally transporting goods across the border, during the transportation to the export border gate, the suspects broke customs seals, unloaded the goods to illegally transport the goods by trails and opening roads across the border.

For the prosecution of smuggling, the suspects who have illegally traded in goods (originating in bonded warehouses) are under customs supervision at the gathering place of the border gate of exportation, then declaring to change the export border gate. Then they broke customs seals on the way and sold the goods.

In order to promptly prevent the abuse of independent transport to smuggle and illegally transport goods across the border, the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department proposed local customs departments direct their subordinate branches to strengthen professional measures to improve management efficiency.
