The inspection delegation includes three ministries: Finance, Industry and Trade and Planning and Investment.

On the afternoon of May 4, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Trade informed that the mass media reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade cooperated with other ministries to inspect a large volume of aluminum imported from Mexico to Vietnam.

Regarding this, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that this is normal operation in the management of import and export in order to ensure trade relations between Vietnam and other countries in fair and transparent manner and in line with international commitments and the interests of Vietnam, thereby perfecting the policies and better managing import and export.

"The purpose of this inspection is to check the status of law compliance on the origin of goods on the basis of the provisions of law and international commitments on the origin of goods,” the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted.

According to the working program, the inspection delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, who will work with Global Vietnam Aluminium Company Limited and enterprises which imported a large volume of aluminum in the recent times.

During the inspection time, the delegation ensures to not affect the normal activity of the enterprises. The Ministry of Industry and Trade affirmed to continuously inform the press and public opinion the inspection results.

Earlier, some media reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade had sent a document to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province on sending their representative to join the inspection delegation for Aluminum warehouses originated from China into Vietnam.

Accordingly, the Delegation will inspect the Global Vietnam Aluminium Company Limited, headquartered at Ba Ria – Vung Tau. The inspection is planned on the mid-May, 2017.
