In this period, 8,500 import and export declarations were registered at 123 customs branches under 34 local customs departments.

The total trade in goods in the holiday of the whole country reached US$ 1.65 billion, including export turnover of US$ 1.04 billion and import turnover of US$ 0.61 billion.

Export turnover of major items include phones and components at US$ 702.5 million, computers, electronic products and components at US$ 168.4 million, and machinery and equipment at US$69 million.

The export turnover of three major items accounted for 90.2% of the total turnover of the whole country.

Meanwhile, import turnover of major items mainly were computers, electronic products and components at US$ 319.3 million, petroleum products at US$ 53.9 million, phones and accessories at US$39.2 million. The import turnover of these items accounted for 67.5% of the total import turnover.

Vietnam’s goods were exported to 79 countries and territories. The country shipped goods to China with the largest turnover of US$ 259.4 million, followed by the US at US$ 137.7 million, South Korea at US$ 73.4 million and the UK at US$ 61.8 million.

Vietnamese enterprises also imported goods from 62 countries and territories.

Goods were imported from South Korea with an import turnover of US$ 240.8 million, from China at US$ 140.4 million, Japan at US$ 35.5 million and Indonesia at US$ 31.6 million.

From January 1 to 26, the General Department of Vietnam Customs recorded that the total turnover reached US$ 39.08 billion, down 29% year-on-year, including export turnover at US$ 20.85 billion and export turnover at US$ 18.23 billion.

As of January 26, Vietnam saw a trade surplus of US$2.62 billion.
