63 times Chinese self-driving tourist vehicles enter Vietnam

Operation of Self-driving tourist vehicles via Mong Cai International Border Gate is still insignificant. |
Of which, there have been 15 times when vehicles are exiting, and 63 times when vehicles are entering, with a total of 220 passengers on exit and entry.
Generally, enterprises have complied well with regulations on procedures for vehicles and passenger on exit and entry.
It is acknowledged that the pilot plan of management and exploitation of self-driving tourist vehicles from China through Mong Cai International Border Gate to enter Ha Long City (Quang Ninh province, Vietnam), and the self-driving tourist vehicles from Vietnam to enter Guilin-Guangxi (China) under Decision No.1741/QD-UBND dated 18th May 2018 of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, is implemented from June 1 to December 31, 2018.
Accordingly, the Transport Department is in charge of leading and coordinating with relevant departments, sectors, and localities to manage self-driving tourist vehicles and summarize the implementation results and advise Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee to report to the Prime Minister after the pilot period.
It is acknowledged that the automotive vehicles of 9 seats or less owned by individuals or enterprises for tourism purposes, the time of entry and circulation is not more than 5 days per license. In case of force majeure, such as accidents or vehicle damage certified by the competent agencies, the time will be extended for a maximum of 3 days.

At the same time, the maximum number must not be more than 10 vehicles per group, and the total number of vehicles on entry in each country must not be more than 50 vehicles per day. When the groups of vehicles on a previous entry have exited, an additional license must be granted for the other groups on entry, but the total number of vehicles is to be not more than 50 vehicles per day in each country, and not more than 300 vehicles on entry per month.
