According to the GDVC, these customs brokers have had their operations halted as they are beyond the deadline of six months from the date of operation, they have not yet met the GDVC’s requirements and failed to submit the application for resuming operations to the country’s top customs regulator as per regulations in Circular 12/2015/TT-BTC dated January 30, 2015 (amended and supplemented in Circular 22/2019/TT-BTC dated April 16, 2019).
On February 24, 2021 the GDVC issued a decision to suspend operations of 114 customs brokers under the management of HCM City Customs Department because they have not reported fully three consecutive times, and the codes of their staff have expired.
After being suspended, some customs brokers have complied with the regulations and proposed the GDVC to allow them to resume operations.
However, 69 customs brokers have not complied with regulations and have not submitted applications for resuming operations. Therefore, the GDVC issued the decision to suspend their operations.
