About 15,000 declarations automatically cleared by VNACCS/VCIS after IT error

In the afternoon of 4th July, talking with a Customs Newspaper reporter, Deputy Director of Center for management and operation of Customs IT system (under the Customs IT and Statistics Department of the GDVC), Pham Thanh Trung said that after overcoming the technical error of the IT System, the VNACCS/VCIS system received declarations and automatically cleared for enterprises.
However, on the morning of 4th July, some declarations which had fulfilled their tax obligations but had not been automatically cleared due to the technical error of the system, the Customs IT and Statistics Department actively coordinated with relevant units to urgently handle.
“At 15:20, about 5,000 declarations for enterprises that had paid tax, but were delayed, were cleared, ” Mr. Trung said.
The error in IT of the Customs sector occurred at 13:30 on 3rd July at the Center for management and operation of Customs IT system (at the GDVC’s headquarters).

After detecting the error, the leaders of the Customs IT and Statistics Department and relevant units immediately directed and assisted the Center to find out the cause, rectify the error and quickly resumed operation of the IT system.
At 17:30 on 3rd July, the error was basically rectified.
According to the Deputy Director of the Customs IT and Statistics Department, this is the first time that a Customs IT System has failed.
