Appointing Luu Manh Tuong as Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs

VCN- On January 17, the General Department of Vietnam Customs held a ceremony to announce Decision No.88/QD-BTC dated January 17 of the Ministry of Finance appointing Luu Manh Tuong, Director of Import-Export Duty Department as Deputy Director General of the General Department of Vietnam Customs. Deputy Minister of Finance Vu Thi Mai attended and awarded the decision.

Deputy Minister of Finance Vu Thi Mai awards the appointment decision to Luu Manh Tuong.

At the ceremony, Tran Thi Tuyet Lan, Deputy Director of Personnel and Organisation Department under the Ministry of Finance announced Decision No. 88/QD-BTC dated January 17, 2020 for the appointment for Luu Manh Tuong, Director of the Import-Export Duty Department as Deputy Director General of the General Department of Vietnam Customs from January 17, 2020.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai congratulated the new Deputy Director General Luu Manh Tuong and said that Tuong has worked in the Customs sector for 25 years. He was trained professionally, has experiences in working positions and has great contributions which are recognised and highly appreciated by leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai said holding the new position, Tuong will have a heavier responsibility and make great efforts with leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs to run the Customs sector and accomplish key tasks. Deputy Minister Vu Thi Mai believed that with his new position, Tuong will excellently accomplish the assigned tasks.

Director General of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can on behalf of all civil servants, officials and staff of the Customs sector congratulated Tuong. At the same time, he said that the General Department of Vietnam Customs’ leaders will continue to direct the Customs sector to perform tasks assigned by the Party and the State.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the new Deputy Director General Luu Manh Tuong promised he would make great efforts together with the General Department of Vietnam Customs' leaders to promote Customs reform and modernisation; strengthen inspection and control to improve management efficiency and contribute to preventing the State revenue losses; build a professional, transparent and effective Customs force; promote solidarity and obtained achievements to develop the Customs sector to meet requirements in the new period.
