Aviation National Single Window system at Noi Bai operate thoroughly

As representatives of Software Applications Management Division (Hanoi Customs Department), the implementation of plans to expand the National Single Window for airfreight, Customs authorities have built the Aviation National Single Window system.

Accordingly, since January 1^st 2017, the Customs Administration deployed the pilot program at Noi Bai international airport about receiving electronic information from Vietnam Airlines as stipulated in Decree 08/2015/ND-CP and Circular 42/2015/TT-BTC for: declaration of goods exported and imported by air in the case of aircraft transport exports and imports cargo; information of house bill of lading in the case of aircraft transporting imported goods; passenger lists in the case of aircraft transport passengers; list of crew and staff working on the aircraft; and manifests of registered luggage in case of aircraft transport passengers.

From January 1^st 2017, Vietnam Airlines implemented to send data as mentioned above in electronic form to the National Single Window Portal for flights that do exit and entry procedures at Noi Bai International airport Customs Branch. They just lodge documents if needed when receiving request from Customs agency. Until now, after 10 days of implementing the pilot program, the system has run smoothly.

The implementing of the pilot program of the Aviation National Single Window for Vietnam Airlines will be the precondition for the Customs sector to expand the deployment to other airlines in the country. Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the airlines that has a volume of flights up to 371 operations/week.

Implementing the Aviation National Single Window is an inevitable step to reform, simplify procedures and reduce time of Customs clearance export and import goods under the guidelines of the Government. Through the Aviation National Single Window, the exchange of information between State management agencies and enterprises in international airports is also done electronically, through which well serve operational and management of Customs at international airports.
