Bac Ninh Customs continues leading in the growth speed of export turnover
The value and growth speed of a number of customs departments reaching a high turnover and 4 customs departments had a strong increase/decrease rate from the beginning of the year to the end of June 30, 2019. |
In particular, according to statistics by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, local Customs Departments reaching the highest rate of export turnover from the beginning of the year till the end of June 30, 2019 are Bac Ninh Customs Department with US$56.4 billion, increasing by 2.9% over the same period last year; HCM City Customs Department with US$53.57 billion, increasing by 5.8%; Hai Phong Customs Department with US$31.61 billion; Binh Duong Customs Department with US$18.25 billion, increasing by 3.8%; Dong Nai Customs Department with US$15.83 billion, increasing by 3.7% over the same period last year.
Three local Customs Departments (excluding the leading group of local customs departments achieving highest value) with very high growth rate are Thanh Hoa Customs Department with US$3.8 billion, increasing by 101%; Ha Tinh Customs Department with US$1.91 billion, increasing by 37.7% and Quang Ngai Customs Department with US$1.16 billion, increasing by 75.14%.
According to the preliminary statistics, the total export turnover of the whole country till the end of June 30, 2019 reached US$243.5 billion, increasing by 8.04% over the same period last year. In particular, the value of exported goods reached US$122.54 billion, increasing by 7.2% and the import value reached US$120.96 billion, increasing by 8.9% over the same period last year. The trade balance of Vietnam reached a surplus of US$1.58 billion by the end of June 30, 2019.
The number of export and import declarations arising from the beginning of the year to the end of June 30, 2019 reached nearly 6.3 million, increasing by 7.8% over the same period in 2018. Of that, exports reached 3.2 million declarations, an increase of 11.4% and imports was nearly 3.1 million declarations, an increase of 4.3% over the same period last year.
In 2017 with total import and export turnover of more than US$147,787 billion, Bac Ninh Customs Department surpassed the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department to hold the leading position in import and export turnover. In 2018, with import and export turnover of US$117.51 billion, Bac Ninh Customs continued holding this leading position.
