Bac Ninh Customs has achieved over $US 71 billion on implementing clearance procedures for imports and exports goods

VCN - In the first 6 months of 2018, the total import and export turnover has reached over $US 72.019 billion by Bac Ninh Customs Department, an increase of more than 10% over the same period of 2017. This is one of the Customs Departments with the highest export turnover in the country.

Bac Ninh Customs Department only fulfills state managements in customs field at large industrial zones in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen provinces with large enterprises such as Samsung Electronics VN Thai Nguyen (SEVT) Co., Ltd, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd, Samsung Display Vietnam Co., Ltd, Samsung SDI Vietnam Co., Ltd, Nokia Vietnam Co., Ltd, Bujeon Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd, Yuto Vietnam Printing Packaging Co., Ltd…

The total number of declarations registered in the first 6 months of 2018 reached about 523,585 declarations, declined by 5% over the same period of 2017, but the total number of enterprises implementing customs clearance at Bac Ninh Customs increased by 4% over the same period in 2017, with 3,035 enterprises.

The imported goods which were implemented procedures at the Bac Ninh Customs Department, are mainly machinery and equipment for creating fixed assets of the investment projects; raw materials for production, processing materials such as electronic components, fabrics, electricity generators, mobile phones ... While the exported products are mainly products manufactured, processed from imported raw materials and minerals, agro-forestry products.

According to representative of Bac Ninh Customs Department, the Department has focused on promoting administrative reform, facilitating to the import and export activities of enterprises in the locality. The unit also solved problems relating to tax policies, customs procedures as well as business processes over time.

Along with that, the unit has well implemented price policy and applied HS codes for goods’ classification, regular inspection and analysis of revenue to timely provide optimal solutions for revenue collection, implementing seriously the urgent collection of outstanding debts. So that ensuring the proper order of procedures as prescribed.

This helped the state revenue of Bac Ninh Customs Department in the first 6 months to reach 4,595 billion VND, equal to 44.19% of the assigned target.
