Many new Customs and Tax policies were introduced to enterprises at the training conference.

At the conference, the Binh Duong Customs Department’s representative introduced new points in the decrees and circulars on Customs procedures, inspection and supervision, regulations on e-documents, e-import/export dossiers, and e-archives compared to past paper dossiers to save enterprises’ time and costs, and towards the development of e-Government. At the same time, disseminating new regulations and policies related to Import and Export Duty.

The Japanese enterprises’ representatives also posed questions related to domestic import and export goods, norms of raw materials and copyright fee.

Besides, in order to help enterprises to limit mistakes in carrying out Customs procedures, the Binh Duong Customs Department’s representative noted and warned on common mistakes that enterprises often face through post clearance audit.

For example, the data of accounting import and export units are often not consistent with the data reported to the Customs authority. When reporting Tax finalization for export production and processing goods, processing enterprises only present data received from import and export units and do not check data with storage and accounting units. Thereby, when the Customs authorities check the data between the units, the data is inconsistent with each other.

The use of imported materials subject to tax incentives with wrong purpose for domestic sale including selling raw materials and using those materials for manufacturing products for domestic sale; the liquidation of imported machinery and equipment for investment subject to tax exemption without declaration to the Customs.

Enterprises’ declaration on the actual production norms that are inconsistent with the norm being reported on tax finalization, liquidity, tax refund with the Customs are common mistakes of enterprises.
