Brunei is going to connect to the ASEAN Single Window

According to information from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, at the 46th session about technical issues of ASW implementation in Cambodia at the end of February, Brunei stated that their country has completed the trial period and are ready to connect to ASW officially in order to exchange ATIGA certification of origin form D from 1/4/2019.
"Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore also announced their willingness to connect with Brunei" – stated the General Department of Customs.
Vietnam are currently cooperating with the ASEAN Secretariat and Brunei in order to prepare for the official deployment.
ASW has been connected between 5 member countries: Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore through the exchange of certificate of origin form D by electronic version (e-C/O Form D).
From the beginning of the year to 19/3, Vietnam received 10,553 C/O from 4 member countries and sent 23,262 C/O to other member countries. In particular, Indonesia has the largest exchange volume of C/O with Vietnam.
From the beginning of the year until now, Vietnam has not received any C/O from Thailand, while Vietnam has sent 9,773 C/O to Thailand.
Relating to the implementation of ASW, at the conclusion of The Fourth Meeting of the 1899 Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the 1899 Committee requested that during 2019, ministries and sectors prepare the information exchange on ASEAN Customs declarations and certificates of veterinary and phytosanitary in accordance with the ASEAN common plan.
