Cars imported across Cao Bang Customs plunges

According to Cao Bang Customs Department, from August 16 to September 15, 64 enterprises carried out customs procedures to import and export goods. Between January and September, 293 enterprises implemented procedures.
Notably, due to the Covid-19 pandemic being under control in China, some import and export items have tended to increase again such as vegetables, pepper, and fabrics.
The total import and export turnover at the department decreased by 27% to US$59.3 million compared with the previous month. The import turnover was US$39.2 million, down 31%; the export turnover was US$210.1 million, down 20%.
The total trade in goods from the early year rose by 69% to US$606.6 million.
In September, the export turnover of items such as vegetables and fruits reached US$0.387 million, up 679% over the previous month; cashew nuts at US$6.3 million, down 31%; pepper at US$3.9 million, up 70%; wood at US$0.274 million, down 80%.
The import turnover such as vegetables and fruits reached US$0.532 million, down 4%; coals of US$1.2 million, down 12%; fabrics at US$6.5 million, up 43%; other machinery, equipment and spare parts at US$6.3 million, down 67%.
The import turnover of CBU cars plunged. Specifically, the turnover of transport cars fell by 100% month-on-month to US$0.005 million; dump trucks decreased by 47% to US$11 million.
In September Cao Bang Customs Department collected about VND131 billion, down 30% compared with the previous month, but the revenue since the beginning of the year still surged compared with a year ago.
