Case of suspected bribery of Tenma Vietnam: General Department of Vietnam Customs temporarily suspends 6 officials to clarify responsibilities

The announcement of the General Department of Vietnam Customs clearly stated that implementing the directives of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance at the meeting on May 26, 2020 in Official Letter No. 6169/BTC-TCCB of the Minister of Finance on customs officials at Bac Ninh Customs Department, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has issued decisions of temporary job suspensions for 15 days (from May 27, 2020) for the following people:

Tran Thanh To - Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department (the person who signed the decision to establish the delegation of post-clearance audit to focus on serving for the Ministry of Finance Inspectorate and reviewing and clarifying the responsibilities of the delegation of post-clearance audit and the head who is involved in the conduction of post-clearance audit of Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd.;

Duong Minh Khai - Head of Customs Enforcement Team, under the Bac Ninh Customs Department to review and clarify the responsibilities in conducting post-clearance audit of Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd.;

Nguyen Van Phuc - Deputy Head of Technical Division, Bac Ninh Customs Department to review and clarify the responsibilities in conducting post-clearance audit of Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd.;

Vu Quang Ha – Head of Technical Team - Bac Ninh Customs Department to review and clarify the responsibilities in conducting post-clearance audit of Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd.;

Nguyen Luu Binh Trong, customs official of ICD Tien Son Customs Branch, to review and clarify responsibilities in conducting post-clearance audit of Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd.;

Nguyen Thi Hao – Customs officials of Department Office of Bac Ninh Customs to review and clarify responsibilities in conducting post-clearance audit of Tenma Vietnam Co., Ltd.
