According to an official letter from the People's Government of Bang Tuong (China) sent to the Management Board of Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, in the last 10 days, only 243 vehicles carrying goods were exported to China across Coc Nam Border Gate, there was an average of less than 25 vehicles per day.
In addition, Vietnam and China have applied stricter measures for Covid-19 prevention and control.
To control the pandemic, and protect the health of residents in the border gates, the Chinese government has decided to suspend imports and exports at Lung Vai market from 18h on August 26 (Chinese time). The time to resume imports and exports will be decided based on the disease development and the volume of goods cleared at the border gate.
After receiving the announcement from the Chinese government, Coc Nam Customs Branch notified importers, exports, goods owners and traders who regularly operate at the border gate. The branch has asked those who transported goods in the area to work with Chinese goods owners to move cargo to other border gates to carry out procedures, the representative of Coc Nam Customs Branch told Customs News.
