Competent forces were inspecting strictly trucks before accepting for clearance |
All 60 trucks were closely monitored by Customs, border defence, quarantine and health forces. Drivers of both sides and stevedores were subjected to rigorous medical checks and committed to isolation for 14 days.
Bo said when the trucks have completed the procedures of the Customs authority, they would be instructed to follow the quarantine process. Chinese vehicles entering to load goods would be put into a separate area, drivers returning goods would carry out process of quarantine, disinfection and sterilisation.
Vietnamese vehicles transporting goods to China would also be taken to isolation areas at the border for checking body temperature and sterilisation in accordance with regulations. After completing the delivery, all drivers and stevedores would have to carry out the quarantine process in the area of Xuan Cuong yard (adjacent to the border), where the quarantine area has been arranged to ensure no epidemic spreads.
As Customs News reported, on February 5, the People's Committee of Lang Son province decided to clear goods in the afternoon of February 5. This is also a solution to untie the agricultural products backlog at Huu Nghi international border gate from the Lunar New Year to the end of February 4.
