Customs accompanies enterprises to speed up economic development in Nam Dinh province

Mrs. Ha Lan Anh said despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, with the efforts of all levels of Party committees, authorities, the business community and people, the social-economic situation of the province has made remarkable progress.

Accordingly, in 2021, the province's GRDP rose by 8.2%; granted new investment registration certificates and added capital for 75 projects with a total allocated capital of VND73,912 billion and US$62.3 million; total state budget revenue in the province reached VND6,858 billion, equaling 120% of the year’s estimate, of which revenue from import-export activities reached VND521.7 billion, up 65% from last year, exceeding 49% of the estimate.

In particular, the total import-export turnover rose 37% year-on-year to over US$4.7 billion. Of which, exports grew nearly 20% year-ọn-year to US$2.9 billion and imports rose 42% year-on-year to US$1.8 billion.

To achieve these results, there is an important contribution of Ha Nam Ninh Customs Department and Nam Dinh Customs Branch in the management and creation of favorable conditions for production, business and import and export activities to the business community," said Mrs. Ha Lan Anh.

In order to meet the requirements of the Customs sector towards the goal of building a model of Smart Customs, Digital Customs and the policy of the People's Committee of Nam Dinh Province on building e-government, promoting administrative reform, Ms. Lan Anh said that Ha Nam Ninh Customs Department needs to continue to promote administrative reform, strongly apply information technology in operation, ensure customs management and achieved targets set out, strengthen information connection from businesses to attract more FDI enterprises to invest in Nam Dinh province, creating maximum conditions for import and export activities, contributing to increase State revenue of Nam Dinh province in the following years.“

Appreciating the direction of the leaders of Nam Dinh province, Mr. Pham Hong Thanh, Director of Ha Nam Ninh Customs Department, said that the unit will focus on the tasks of quick customs clearance of import and export goods, effectively solve problems for enterprises and individuals in the implementation of customs procedures, accompany and share difficulties with businesses through understanding them and creating favorable conditions in import and export activities.

However, through this dialogue conference, Ha Nam Ninh Customs wishes to listen to the comments as well as problems arising from enterprises in the customs process in the province so that the customs will give specific answers and instructions.

Assessing the companionship of the Customs, a representative of Song Hong Garment JSC said Ha Nam Ninh Customs has greatly supported business, production and customs clearance activities of import and export of the company. In particular, as an enterprise based in Nam Dinh, as production was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, to restore production, Nam Dinh Customs has greatly supported the company from procedures to answering, exchanging, and introducing new policies and laws.
