Customs actively carries out procedures for aircraft via Single Window Mechanism

In which, the Customs Control and Supervision Department, the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department, the Risk Management Department actively guide contents related to operational activities for Customs officers in receiving, exploiting and processing information on exit and entry and transit aircraft via National Single Window Mechanism.

Local Customs Departments having international airports collaborate with competent units under the General Department of Vietnam Customs to propagandize and train for Customs officers in their units, airline agents, airlines and airline warehouse operators and relevant subjects.

Previously, on September 14, 2017, at the headquarters of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the Customs IT and Statistics Department held a training course to introduce and guide the use and operation of the system for Customs officers supervising procedures for exit, entry and transit aircraft at international airports.

The training course for Customs officers of 11 units includes: the Customs Control and Supervision Department, the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department, the Risk Management Department and others local departments such as Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Thua Thien Hue, Can Tho, Kien Giang.

The notable contents in this training course related to an operational process for deployment of Aviation NSW, relevant legal document systems, the system of receiving and processing advance information on passengers and goods on commercial flights for expanding e-customs clearance and risk management (API).

Ha Noi Customs Department is the first unit in the country that deploying the pilot Aviation NSW.

Aviation NSW has been put into pilot operation at Noi Bai International Airport since January 1, 2017, and received e-information on goods from Vietnam Airlines (paper dossier not required).

On April 1, 2017, 3 airline warehouse operators implemented the pilot for receiving automatic e-information on goods for 36 airlines due to these warehouses operating in Noi Bai International Airport.

Until June 30, 2017, 52 airlines and 4 airline warehouse operators issued confirmation documents for registration of implementation of Aviation NSW.
