Customs declarations of import and export goods increases more than 21% in July

Import declarations were 100,065 and export declarations hit 92,673.
Among its nine customs branches, the Processing and Investment Customs Branch handled the highest number of declarations with 44,665 declarations. 1st Seaport Customs Branch processed the lowest number with 4,336 declarations.
The rate of declarations classified into Green and Yellow channels in the department accounted for 97% (Green channel of 67.3%)
However, the rate of declarations of Yellow and Red channels at four seaport customs branches was up to 79% or equivalent to 22,000 declarations.
Between January and July, the department processed procedures for 1.2 million declarations of import and export goods.
In July, total trade by Hai Phong port increased by 18% year-on-year to nearly US$9 billion.
According to the department’s report, the city shipped goods overseas worth about US$4.5 billion while it spent some US$4.45 billion on imports, up 22% and 14.2%, respectively, from a year earlier.
Between January and July, total trade by Hai Phong port jumped 30.6% to US$58 billion compared with the previous year. The figure is equivalent to the increase of more than US$13.5 billion.
Exports were US$27.5 billion and imports US$30.4 billion.
