Customs earns over VND107,000 billion in tax revenues

From March 1 to 30, the revenue from import and export duties reached VND37,440 billion. The sector saw a year-on-year increase of around 22.44% in tariffs to around VND107,300 billion, meeting 30.5% of the estimate.

In March, trade surged 36.8% month-on-month to US$66.73 billion.

The exports increased 45.5% to US$34.6 billion while imports rose 28.7% to US$32.67 billion.

Vietnam’s total trade in the first quarter soared 14.4% to US$176.35 billion.

The country shipped goods overseas worth around US$88.58 billion while it spent some US$87.77 billion on imports, up 12.9% and 14.4%, respectively from a year earlier.

Vietnam’s trade balance in March is estimated at US$1.39 billion. The country saw a trade deficit of US$809 million.
