VCN - From the beginning of the year up to now, Vietnam Customs has received and handled more than 2,400 messages from people and businesses via hotline (19009299) in accordance with regulations and procedures.

The hotline of General Department of Vietnam Customs

According to the Office of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, from the beginning of 2017 to the end of July, the hotline of General Department has received and handled 2,416 messages, of which the most messages reflects obstacles on about customs procedures (2,068 messages), the others were information about tax problems, negative and harassment acts and information about offence denunciations, smuggling, trade fraud, illegal transportation of goods across borders.

Through the hotline, messages have been received and handled in line with the regulations to support and solve problems of people and businessé in a timely fashion.

According to the Office, via the hotline 19009299, messages are transmitted to 282 hotline numbers organized in 3 levels (General Department level, Department level, Branch level and equivalent level) to receive and process messages related to Customs.

The scope of message received via the hotline is the offence denunciations as described in Joint Circular No. 06/2013 / TTLT-BCA-BQP-BTC-BNN & PTNT-VKSNDTC dated May 2, 2013 providing guidelines for the implementation of provisions of Criminal Proceedings Code on receiving and handling offence denunciations and information, and proposals for institution of criminal cases; information about smuggling, trade fraud and information about negative and harassment acts and information about Customs procedures

As reported, on November 10, 2016, General Director of Vietnam Customs Nguyen Van Can signed Decision No. 3899 / QD-TCHQ promulgating the Regulation on management and use of hotline and receiving and handling information via the hotline of the General Department of Customs.

The promulgation aims to improve disciplines in the performance of duties and prevent and stop corruption and harassment; to effectively support organizations and individuals in import-export activities; entry-exit, transit and to handle violations of law in a timely fashion.
