Customs sector collected 133.5 billion VND of tax debt

It is known that, as of 30/12/2017, the overdue receivables of customs declarations cleared by the Customs sector were 5,299.3 billion VND. Nowadays, the figure is 5,165.7 billion VND.

This achievement is thanks to the synchronous implementation of tax debt management system in the whole Customs sector, from the General Department to the local customs departments and branches. In particular, implementing synchronously measures for managing tax debts, minimizing new debts, handling debtors who intentionally delay payments, applying coercive measures in accordance with the Law on Tax Administration.

In addition, by deploying the debt management process, the debtor’s amount of import and import tax are classified and monitored for management and urged to pay fully to Customs collection authorities in all provinces and cities.
