Customs sector completed the estimated target of revenue collection

Currently, the above revenue collection of Customs sector has reached 92.1% compared to the assigned target of Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Finance which was 293,000 billion VND.
It is known that until now, there are 27/35 Customs Departments achieved the assigned target of revenue collection by Ministry of Finance including Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Can Tho, Da Nang, Ha Nam Ninh, Long An, Ha Tinh, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Tay Ninh, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien – Hue, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak, Cao Bang, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, An Giang, Quang Binh, Dong Thap, Dien Bien.
In that, there are 9 Customs Departments completed both targets (included supplement assigned target) that are Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Tay Ninh, Cao Bang, Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Quang Binh, Dien Bien.
Moreover, some Customs Departments such as Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department achieved 88.82%, Hai Phong reached 98,7%, Hanoi achieved 84.95%.
In addition, due to the impact of FTAs and the change of operation situation, revenue collection is reduced from imported goods. Thus, some Customs Department achieved low rate of the assigned target such as Lang Son reached 60.8%, Thanh Hoa reached 71.82% and Quang Tri reached 85.41%.
Although the state revenue collection in 2018 is assessed to be exceeded the target, the General Department of Vietnam Customs will continue to accelerate measures to raise revenues, combat loss of revenue and improve tax collection in order to accomplish assigned tasks.
