Customs sector recovers and handles VND167 billion of tax debt
Accordingly, the customs sector collected and handled VND94.4 billion, reaching 5.73% of the assigned target under Decision 419/QD-TCHQ dated March 31, 2022.

Typically, the units with good tax debt collection results such as Ho Chi Minh City Customs achieved VND45.06 billion, Hai Phong Customs VND38.35 billion; Binh Duong Customs VND29.58 billion, Thanh Hoa Customs VND14.6 billion and Hanoi Customs VND16.04 billion.
Besides units with good tax debt collection results, there were still some units with low tax debt collection results such as Ha Giang, Bac Ninh, Lao Cai and Lang Son.
In addition to the collection and handling of tax debts, in the first six months of the year, the additional tax revenue due to price consultations based on the risk portfolio on the value of the whole industry reached about VND242 billion. Some units achieved great results such as Ho Chi Minh City VND179 billion, Hanoi VND14 billion and Hai Phong VND50 billion.
Especially through the post-clearance audit, some local customs departments also achieved good results such as Hanoi VND24.7 billion; Ho Chi Minh City VND29.6 billion; Hai Phong VND18.8 billion and Dong Nai VND38.3 billion.
A representative of the Import-Export Tax Department said that in the second half of the year, the whole customs sector will continue to effectively implement Directive 439/CT-TCHQ dated February 11, 2022 of the Director General of the General Department of Customs on the synchronous and drastic implementation of solutions to facilitate trade, improve the effectiveness of state management, and prevent revenue loss in state budget collection in 2022.
In which, the General Department of Customs will request the units, especially local customs departments to actively review, classify, recover and handle tax debts incurred before January 1, 2022 and prevent new debts in 2022 through inspection and examination.
