Customs uses statistics of commodities under mode of transport

On 1 December, 2016, talking with a reporter of the Customs News, Deputy Director of the Customs IT and Statistics Department (the General Department of Customs) Phan Sinh said that the Department is asking for approval of the leader of the General Department of Customs to announce more information according to this new mode.
According to the Customs IT and Statistics Department, to implement Decision No. 15/2014/QD-TTg dated 17 February 2014 of the Prime Minister issuing the regulation on general statistical reports for ministries, departments, and Decree No. 97/2016/ND-CP regulating the statistical indicator contents under the national statistics indicator system which includes the statistical indicators of import and export commodities under mode of transport, the General Department of Customs carries out the statistics of import-export goods which are divided into groups under the mode of transport.
The statistics of import and export commodities under mode of transport include statistics on quantity and value of each major commodity/commodity group under each mode of transport, in which: the scope of data is only commodities in the statistical system prescribed in Circular No. 168/2011/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance; major export commodity groups (according to Form No. 14B/TCHQ of the General Department of Customs) and major import commodity groups (according to Form 15B/TCHQ of the General Department of Customs)
Modes of transport are: roads include highway, railway and other means of transportation on the roads; Waterways include seaway and river way; other modes of transport include: line, mixed transport and other modes which has not basis enough to determine accurately.

According to the Customs IT and Statistics Department, the statistics of import and export commodities which are divided into groups (from specialization in statistical activities-PV) under transport modes are efforts of the General Department of Customs to better meet increasing demand for statistics by citizens, businesses and others who are interested.
