Dien Bien: One arrested for transporting two bricks of heroin

VCN - The Border Defence force of Dien Bien province has just caught a female illegally transporting drugs, seizing two bricks of heroin.

Previously, the reconnaissance force of Anti-Drugs and Criminal Prevention Division, Dien Bien Border Defence force discovered a line of illegal transport of drugs through Dien Bien district to other locations for consumption.

On August 21, at the landmark 105 Vietnam-Laos borderline, in the territory of Hong Lech Cuong village, Thanh Hung commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, Anti-Drugs and Criminal Prevention Division in collaboration with Thanh Luong and Pa Thom border posts, Dien Bien Border Guards discovered and caught Quang Thi Nia (born in 1966, residing in Hong Lec Cuong village, Thanh Hung commune, Dien Bien district) while she was transporting two bricks of heroin.

Quang Thi Nia initially confessed that she was hired to deliver two bricks of heroin to an unknown man with a wage of VND10 million. However, before she could deliver the above drugs, she was arrested.

Currently, the case is being prosecuted by Thanh Luong Border Guard Station and handled in accordance with regulations.
