Reporting to the Director General, the leader of Hai Phong Customs Department said that until 19 November, 2017, Hai Phong Customs Department collected 46,171 billion VND, reaching 78.26% compared to the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (59,000 billion VND) and reaching 88.8% compared to the minimum target assigned by the GDVC (52,000 billion VND) and an increase of 12.73 % compared to the same period in 2016.

For the deployment of the Scheme “inspection, supervision of goods at warehouses, storing yards and port in Hai Phong on the e-system”, after over 1 year of development and implementation, the Department has fulfilled the pilot period in 50 warehouses, storing yards and port operators, which regularly import and export goods in Hai Phong.

The scheme has expressed the preeminence and brought turning point benefits and efficiency in management and supervision of import and export goods under provisions of Customs law as well as the improved process of management of the Customs and enhanced business efficiency and competitiveness of warehouses, storing yards and port operators.

After listening to the report of Hai Phong Customs Department, the Director-General Nguyen Van Can praise Hai Phong Customs Department for its effort in learning, directing and developing tasks, reflecting in positive changes and growth in almost all fields.

For the scheme “inspection, supervision of goods at warehouses, storing yards and port in Hai Phong on the e-system”, the General Director assessed that this was turning point improvement of the Customs in reform, enhancing efficiency and professionalism in Customs supervision of import and export goods and means of transport on exit and entry.

In order to further improve the effectiveness of the scheme, the General Director directed departments under the GDVC to closely coordinate with Hai Phong Customs Department to unify and provide solutions to handle arising issues and complete the system and specialized process and summarize data on the whole system in 30 November 2017 for the official implementation from 1 December 2017.
