Enhancing to inspect and control the discipline compliance of Customs civil servants

This measure is to obtain the assessment results of enterprises in order to improve and enhance the efficiency of Customs management.
Based on the result of 2016, the General Department of Customs also requested units to enhance internal review, inspection, examination and supervision of the implementation of Customs procedures at Customs departments and branches to ensure uniform implementation and avoid the wrong implementation of favourable regulations, causing difficulties for enterprises.
At the same time, enhancing inspection and control of the discipline compliance of civil servants to strictly deal payment for unregulated expenses; training programs to improve professional qualification and skills for civil servants. Researching and actively proposing measures to resolve difficulties.
In 2016, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry surveyed the satisfaction of enterprises in Customs administrative reform and the results were announced in April 2017. The report on the survey results analysed the satisfaction of enterprises in each field and compared the results with those in 2015.
The report showed that many assessment indicators of enterprises on Customs administrative reform were significantly improved compared 2015. Meanwhile, many other indicators were not improved such as assessment of performance and discipline compliance of Customs civil servants in 2016 was not improved compared to 2015.
