Directly removing problems

Over the past time, due to the strong impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the central provinces which have been heavily affected by floods, causing the sharp decrease in the volume of imported and exported goods at border gates in Ha Tinh province.

Talking to Customs Newspaper, Dinh Van Hoa-Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Customs Department said to support and accompany businesses, besides continuing to improve the business environment, Ha Tinh Customs Department has made great efforts to deploy many solutions to support business production and import-export activities of firmsin the province.

To build and develop the customs-business partnership, Ha Tinh Customs Department is always determinedto provide timely guidance and promptly solve problems for enterprises.

Ha Tinh Customs Department requests customs branches in the province strengthen information exchange, grasp the situation and remove problems for firms. Especially, assign customs officers to instruct regulations for enterprises if there areproblems.

The efficiency of the new performance is the results of customs clearance of shipments and “health” of enterprises amid the current difficult economic situation.

When assessing changes in the implementation of customs procedures, the new performance of Ha Tinh Customs in supporting information andremoving problems in the process of procedures, most enterprises engaged in import and export activities inHa Tinh province have commented that Ha Tinh Customs Department has assisted companiesto overcome difficulties.

Nguyen Duy Linh, Deputy Director of Lao-Viet International Port Joint Stock Company, said that over the past time, Ha Tinh Customs Department and Vung Ang Customs Branch have reformed and modernized customs procedures, helping enterprises shorten customs clearance time and save costs for storage. In the process of carrying out customs procedures, enterprises have been enthusiastically instructed by customs officials, helping enterprises better understand newly issued circulars and decrees. Regardless of holidays, Saturday, Sunday, customs officers are ready to support enterprises in implementing goods customs clearance. This hasan important meaning for enterprises, helping them deliver goods in a timely fashion with their partners, reducing storage costs.

Linh said that to take a firm stand amid the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters, the company has also built a response scenario, mobilizing equipment, machinery and human resources to serve cargo ships to meet business targets.

Accompanying businesses to overcome difficulties

To ensure implementation of the assigned political tasks at the highest level, Hoa said the department continues to maintain good solutions and performance to facilitate enterprises in customs clearance. The department also encourages firmsto carry out online customs procedures via operational customs programmes, online public service system, and the e-tax payment system 24/7; handles and facilitates enterprises in carrying out procedures for tax refund, tax exemption and tax payment extension.

Hoa said in the current situation, strengthening publicity to the business community, helping businesses to grasp regulations and policies related to the customs area is essential to factor to help businesses to overcome difficulties and stabilise business and production activities.

In addition, promptly responding and quickly instructing enterprises to remove difficulties in customs clearance for enterprises to understand and strictly implement.

“Ha Tinh Customs Department will closely follow the economic situation, proactively quickly grasp the ’health’of enterprises to actively advise and propose competent authorities to provide solutions to solve difficulties, problems to cooperate, accompany enterprises to promote import and export activities across the area,” Hoa said.
