Hai Phong Customs actively collects business information on the electronic system

Professional activities at Hai Phong Customs Department

Accordingly, Hai Phong Customs Department will run a pilot program from August 5, 2021 to August 11, 2021, expected to officially operate on August 12, 2021.

The Risk Management Department and the Information Technology Division were assigned to coordinate to send the announcement of the deployment of business information collection to the business community on the Ecus software. Also, the unit is in charge to develop the user manual for customs officials and businesses.

At the branches, they will access the function of collecting business information on the system to use and publicly list the information deployed on the system, provide instructions on how to use it at the customs clearance locations to be jointly implemented by enterprises.

Based on the list provided by the Risk Management Department and the cases which are required to provide information stipulated by the regulations, the branches will proactively and regularly review, monitor and urge businesses to provide information included in the Enterprise information collection in 2021 plan allocated by Hai Phong Customs Department and General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Hai Phong Customs Department wishes that enterprises engaging in import and export activities through their management areas would cooperate in successfully implementing this function in order to perform the Department's tasks and ensure the interests of enterprises when applying this function in risk management of customs operations.

Collecting business information is an activity of Customs to help assess the legal compliance of enterprises.

This activity is carried out regularly because enterprises actively provide information when there is a change or collecting information periodically by customs authority as assigned by the General Department of Customs, collecting information of firms carrying out procedures at the unit for the first time.

The information will be updated by the Customs authority on the system for assessing the level of risk, the level of compliance of the enterprise in accordance with the principle of applying risk management.
