Hai Phong Customs collects nearly VND59,000 billion from the state revenue

VCN – The revenue collection result of the Hai Phong Customs Department witnessed significant growth compared to the same period in 2021 and moved closer to the estimate for the whole year.

In the third quarter, Hai Phong Customs Department carried out procedures for 580,021 import and export declarations of 19,014 enterprises (an increase of 3.8% over the same period in 2021); 2,418 seagoing ships are entering and leaving; 45,609 seafarers entering and leaving the port; 126 aircraft on entry and exit and 21,972 passengers on entry and exit through Cat Bi international airport.

Total export and import turnover in the quarter reached US$30.5 billion, rising by 13.8% over the same period in 2021. In particular, export turnover reached US$15.6 billion, and import turnover reached US$14.9 billion.

Regarding the task of revenue collection, by the end of September, the whole Department obtained VND58,691.6 billion, achieving 92.2% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, reaching 87.5% of the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, an increase of VND10,186.8 billion (equivalent to 21.01%) over the same period in 2021.

Hai Phong area earned VND 50,631.2 billion, achieving 90.5% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance and 86.11% of the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs. The unit also reached 84.39% of the assigned target of the People's Committee of Hai Phong city, an increase of VND 8,542.4 billion (equivalent to 20.3%) over the same period in 2021.

The area of ​​three provinces outside Hai Phong area under the management of Hai Phong Customs Department obtained VND8,060.4 billion, achieving 104.7% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, reaching 97.7% of the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, an increase of VND 1,644.5 billion (equivalent to 25.63%) compared to the same period in 2021.

Currently, the average revenue of the whole Department reaches VND1,400 billion per week, of which the Hai Phong area collects VND1,250 billion per week.

With the above results, Hai Phong Customs Department expects that by the end of the year, the total revenue of the whole Department is estimated at VND 78,000 billion, exceeding 22.5% of the assigned target (equivalent to VND 14,370 billion). Particularly, the Hai Phong area is estimated to collect VND 65,300 billion, exceeding 16.7% of the assigned target (equivalent to VND9,370 billion) and 8.8% of the assigned target by Hai Phong city (VND 5,300 billion).
