Hai Phong Customs determined to fulfill budget target of VND 79,900 billion in 2023

Hai Phong Customs Department identified this as the most important political task, so from the first day and the first month of 2023, the unit has developed solutions and tasks to successfully complete the budget target in 2023.
Accordingly, the unit will focus on 10 key tasks, including striving to complete the budget revenue target in 2023; strengthening customs supervision and management and continuing to effectively implement the two objectives of trade facilitation and State management of customs; improving the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and illegal cross-border goods transportation; strengthening risk management at all operational stages.
Enhancing administrative reform, customs modernization and digital transformation; focusing on implementing the construction projects of the department to ensure the set targets; focusing on human resources building and training; maintaining discipline and public service discipline, strengthening the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity; further developing a practical, effective and substantive Customs-Business partnership; stepping up communication, improving the quantity and quality of communication; reforming methods and improving the operational efficiency of mass organizations and socio-political organizations under the Department.
In 2022, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND78,764.9 billion, more than VND15 trillion higher than the assigned target. The above results make an important contribution to the overall achievements of the Customs sector, especially helping Hai Phong city's budget revenue in the first year exceed the milestone of VND 100,000 billion/year. Regarding the prevention and combat of smuggling and trade fraud, the department handled 4,200 violations, fined VND31.5 billion, rising 56.3% in volume and 46.5% in value compared to 2021. Notably, the Department coordinated with the police to bust a case of drug trafficking, seizing 55 packages of heroin, about 1,200 synthetic drug tablets, and nearly 4 kg of meth. |
