Hai Phong Customs signs over 21,500 agreements with businesses

VCN – Hai Phong Customs Department has signed agreements and given commitments in trade facilitation to develop the Customs-business partnership.

According to the local customs department, the Customs-business partnership has been implemented effectively since 2017. The department has provided many solutions such as sending open letters to more than 5,000 businesses; signed “Customs-Business partnership agreements” with 21,500 enterprises (as of end-August 2021).

Notably, the department has committed key contents such as maintaining and developing the department’s website, notifying policies for businesses to update; posting common issues on its website for the business community to refer to.

The agreement also provided the establishment of working teams to consult on policies at the branch and department levels; receiving information to inspect and handle negative acts and notifying businesses.

It also mentioned the training for officers and staff carrying out customs procedures as required; coordination with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry's branch in Hai Phong to gather training needs and provide training and publicizing the law to the business community.

Supporting and handling problems related to unreasonable mechanisms and policies to competent authorities; accompanying enterprises to actively participate in building a legal system on the principle of facilitating trade for enterprises.

Notably, Hai Phong Customs Department is committed to creating favorable conditions for the operation of customs brokers. The department’s customs branches organized a private channel for customs brokers, ensuring quick and effective customs procedures to promote and further expand the operation of customs brokers.

The department has received comments and recommendations from the business community to the local government for handling.
