They are focusing on the implementation of Plan No. 2557 / KH-HQHP on developing the customs-business partnership and other related parties of Hai Phong Customs Department effectively, bringing the partnership into reality in all operations.A representative of Hai Phong Customs Department said that the Department’s theme in 2020 is "Further promoting the development of customs - business partnerships; improving management methods and application of information technology in work performance; improving the effectiveness of comprehensive coordination in allfields”.Before the development of the Covid-19 pandemic, the department continued to deploy a series of specific solutions in April.

In the first quarter of 2020, the total number of enterprises carryingout procedures at Hai Phong Customs Department was nearly 16,000. The total import-export turnover reached more than US$ 14.7 billion, up 4.41% over the same period in 2019.

Dealing with procedures and customs clearance of imported and exported goods in strict compliance with the regulations and policies on management of import and export goods, ensuring the clearance time in accordance the Customs Law.

Promoting administrative reform, customs modernization and IT application in operations to reduce clearance time, facilitate import and export activities, means of transport and passengers on exit and entry associated with improving the efficiency of the management task in duty performance. Especially, 100% of administrative procedures are implemented through online public services and the National Single Window towards simplifying administrative procedures and Customs reform and modernization.

The department's leader also directed the Customs branches to review and asses the observance of the law and the import-export turnover of enterprises with large revenues and regularly carrying out procedures at the units to haveappropriate control and priority mechanisms in accordance with the conditions of each branch.

In addition, Hai Phong Customs continues to grasp the situation of import and export activities of enterprises with large tax payment and high turnover, large corporations, large projects in the area and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to forecast and assess revenue promptly and accurately.

On the other hand, the unit strengthensinformation, support, customs law consultancy for the business community to improve compliance withcustoms law and tax law; consolidate human resources and maintain regular activities of the team in charge of solving problems in the branches and promptly solve difficulties, problems and feedback of enterprises under the competence the branches.
