On June 26, a leader of Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch said that the unit has just successfully organised the Business Meeting Conference in 2020, with the participation of more than 20 enterprises that regularly implement procedures at the unit and representatives of shipping lines and transport enterprises.

At the conference, the leaders of the Customs branch shared that in 2020, facing the complex fluctuations of the Covid-19 pandemic, affecting production, trading, import and export activities of enterprises, the Customs branch deployed the enterprises assistance group 24/7 to receive information, answering and giving advise on the problems of businesses in the process of implementing import and export procedures.

Besides that, the enterprises assistance group would consult and provide information on transportation routes of shipping lines and the advantages of shipping lines regularly arriving at ports managed by the unit suitable for specific goods to reach optimal conditions for the business.

Grasping the schedule and time of ships on exit and entry also helps the Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Department arrange and assign officials to settle procedures for enterprises in the shortest time possible.

In addition, the Customs branch proactively coordinates with credit institutions, banks, treasuries to disseminate information about paying taxes, fees and charges to facilitate businesses in tax payment and tax settlement with local tax authorities. At the same time, providing information to enterprises operating warehouses, yards and ports in updating information about import and export goods through the supervision area on the VASSCM System to complete, timely, accurate and reducing delivery and receipt of goods at the port.
