Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch discover synthetic drugs at Cat Bi airport

On October 15, according to Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch (Hai Phong Customs Department), the case is continued for investigating by competent forces.
Previously, at 10:50 PM on October 12, the professional team of Cat Bi International Airport Customs Branch (Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch) cooperated with Criminal Investigation on Drug Police Division PC04 (Hai Phong City Police) and Cat Bi International Airport Security force to check and discover inside the hand luggage of a foreigner passenger has 236 small green tablets; 30 small blue tablets suspected of synthetic drugs and one nylon pack of 8x13cm size inside containing white crystal beads weighing about 19 grams suspected to be methamphetamine.
According to initial inspection results, the above items were drugs.
The subject was a passenger who checked in for flight No.VJ926 from Hai Phong to Incheon (South Korea).
Regarding international routes at Cat Bi airport, recently, it opened an international flight route which was Hai Phong - Kunming (China).
This was the first non-stop flight from Yunnan (China) to Hai Phong, also the second direct route from Hai Phong to China (after the Hai Phong - Shenzhen route flying in the form of charter operated by Donghai Airlines of China).
Besides the above international routes, at present, Cat Bi International Airport still maintains international flights from Hai Phong to Incheon (South Korea) and Hai Phong to Bangkok (Thailand) with daily flights, along with charter flights to other countries in and outside the region.
