Hanoi Customs: Many solutions for revenue collection have been deployed to overcome the impact of Covid-19

Facing the complex development of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Import-Export Duty Division - Hanoi Customs Department, from now until the end of this year, the unit will focus on implementing Directive No. 1040/CT-TCHQ dated February 21, 2020 of the General Department of Customs on revenue collection.

In particular, focusing on reform of administrative procedures, facilitating enterprises such as increasing the reception, checking dossiers and feedback for businesses through the automatic clearance system and customs branch discusses regularly to remove difficulties, obstacles and to support businesses.

The unit also strengthened the fight against revenue loss through code, price, quantity and origin through strict control of enterprise declaration from the stage of clearance, strengthen risk assessment and select key businesses for conducting post-clearance audit. The Hanoi Customs Department will intensify urging, handling and recovery of tax debts to fulfill the targets assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs and urge them not to generate new overdue tax debts.

The unit will also work more closely with the special health agencies in Noi Bai Airport to prevent the spread of pandemic as well as competent forces in the area to combat smuggling, especially to prevent people from taking advantage of pandemic to smuggle goods.

Along with that, the implementation of the National Aviation Single Window system and automatic management system in Noi Bai Airport will also be continued, focusing for effective implementation by the Hanoi Customs Department.

To facilitate enterprises and increase State revenue, Hanoi Customs Department will continue to make recommendations to the Hanoi City People's Committee to direct concerned departments, agencies and sectors for solutions to facilitate import and export activities such as promoting the progress of deploying warehouse and inspection projects to soon put into use, use and communicate about legal policies on customs, administrative procedures to the business community.

Exchange information with the Hanoi Customs Department right from submiting dossiers of applications for granting a new project certificate, information on plan of shifting investment of enterprises to have a plan to contact and guide enterprises to implement customs procedures.
