Hanoi Customs: satisfaction level of enterprises is increasing

At the Customs-Business conference held by Hanoi Customs Department on the morning of August 19, the Deputy Head of the Control and Supervision Division (Hanoi Customs Department) Doan Manh Hai said the results of assessing the satisfaction of enterprises in the past three years shown a positive improvement.

In 2016, the survey was conducted in 12 branches with more than 1,600 survey papers collected. The results showed that 85.4 percent of businesses were satisfied with customs clearance procedures at Hanoi Customs Department. In 2017, the survey continued to be carried out at 12 branches and results showed 89.3 percent of businesses were satisfied with customs clearance procedures. In 2018, Hanoi Customs Department collected opinions of more than 1,200 enterprises, the results show that 95.25 percent of businesses were satisfied with the customs clearance procedures.

According to Mr. Hai, the evaluation results of enterprises' satisfaction at Hanoi Customs Department are high in the whole sector. "Maybe enterprises still had problems about the procedures but the approach and problem solving brought the satisfaction of enterprises for the customs authorities,” Hai said.

Besides assessing the satisfaction of enterprises, Hanoi Customs Department also annually carries out the measurement of time of goods release in order to control the time of implementing import and export procedures. In 2019, evaluating the cost of administrative procedures according to the plan of the General Department of Customs in order to promote administrative procedure reform and reduce compliance costs for enterprises.

According to Hanoi Customs Department, the solutions to facilitate import and export activities have been actively implemented by specific units through specific plans and programs; proactively approach and support directly to solve problems for businesses; public and transparent issues of customs policies and procedures.
