Hanoi Customs to prevent violations of civil servants

Speaking at the conference summarizing the working performance of Customs last week, the Director of Hanoi Customs Department, Nguyen Van Truong said, the organizational structure includes 24 units and subordinate units, of which 12 Customs branches implement the management in 5 provinces and cities; the diverse import and export form (international airport, ICD, express, investment and processing, and industrial park), in order to well manage and implement the assigned tasks, Standing Party and the leaders at all levels drastically, synchronously, closely directed to bring the operation of the whole unit into order and efficiency.

The Department reviewed and assessed accurately the ability and qualifications of civil servants as the basis for arrangement, transfer, staffing in line with their working position. Enhancing understanding of the situation, identifying sensitive positions, negative signs to mobile and transfer the working position. In 2016, the Department mobilized and transferred the working positions of 192 officers among units and 148 officers inside the units.

Besides, units pay special attention to adjust and redress the daily working manner of officers such as: working hours, meetings, uniforms and attitudes to business and people. The cases of violations are strictly handled such as: downgrade of monthly classification , transferring of duties, for the adjusted and reminded cases that committed again will be considered to propose a more aggravating disciplinary form combining work transfer, especially for the violations related to the process of operational activities will be transferred out of the unit and moved to working positions which are not directly doing operational activities.

In 2016, the Department organized 24 internal inspections and audits to detect and adjust in a timely fashion the acts of violation . The Department issued discipline of 18 civil servants with reprimand, warning; downgrades of individual classification, or non-voting of emulation and commendation for 72 civil servants.

According to the Director Nguyen Van Truong, serious and immediate handling is a lesson not only for individuals of violation but also is the dissuasion and prevention of violations for other civil servants.
