Hanoi restricts the purchase of expensive cars and equipment

Accordingly, Hanoi will carry out the thrift for planning, investment policy, review and cut 100% of projects which are not in the plans approved by competent authorities; retrieve the investment projects which are not implemented under commitment or license in spite of exceeding the time; cut and suspend items that are not really necessary or low investment efficiency; not to incur additional arrears and definitively handle of basic construction arrears.
Hanoi also set the target of cutting 100% of the groundbreaking ceremony, commencement ceremony, inauguration ceremony of basic constructions, except for important national works, works of great value and significance on economic, cultural-social of the Capital.
Ha Noi City People's Committee also requires relevant agencies to promote the audit, inspection and supervision of all stages of the investment and tender process, especially for the State investment projects; improves the effectiveness and efficiency of the supervision for the State investment projects through strengthening for the audit as well as the supervision mechanism of the people, communities and social organizations for the State investment activities; Clarify responsibilities for agencies, units and individuals that do not abide by the provisions of the law on State investment or bidding causing waste and loss.
The Ha Noi City People's Committee also issued regulations that it would restrict the purchase of State cars (except for specialized cars) and expensive equipment; the purchase of new cars will only be implemented after the completion of the review and rearrangement of existing cars under the norms and standards prescribed by the Prime Minister. The number of redundant cars after rearrangement and transfer (if any) will be sold according to current regulations to contribute to the State budget. Accordingly, Hanoi will not supplement the budget beyond the estimate, including the source of increased state budget to buy cars and implement State car package implementation according to the Government's roadmap.
