Revenue increased by nearly VND25,000 billion

Head of Import-Export Tax Division Hoang Huu Truong said that, after completing the ordinance target of VND 226,500 billion at the beginning of November 2022, HCM City Customs Department was adjusted striving target by the General Department of Vietnam Customs from VND 119,500 billion to VND138,000 billion. This was the highest striving target so far.

To fulfill this new target, the HCM City Customs Department has allocated to its branches to implement effective solutions to achieve the highest revenue. Accordingly, besides trade facilitation solutions, leaders of the HCM City Customs Department have directed units to strengthen the fight against revenue loss through customs supervision and inspection, post-clearance audit, specialized inspection, fight against smuggling and trade fraud, focus on anti-fraud via inspecting quantity, value, HS code, origin, brand...

From the beginning of the year to November 30, 2022, HCM City Customs Department carried out clearance procedures for goods worth US$124.54 billion, an increase of 14.3% over the same period in 2021 (an increase of US$13 .04 billion).

Export turnover reached US$57.76 billion, increasing 12.4% over the same period in 2021 (equivalent to US$6.37 billion); import turnover reached US$66.78 billion, rising by 11.1% over the same period in 2021 (equivalent to US$6.67 billion).
