HCM City Customs officials won a prize for “Excellent young officials, officers and employees” nationwide

Mr. Pham Van Hieu received prize of “Excellent young officials, officers and employees” nationwide that awarded by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.

He was born in 1987 and recruited to work at HCM City Customs Department in 2010. Over the past years, Mr. Pham Van Hieu has introduced innovations that have been applied in the customs professional activities and brought about many practical effects.

Only from 2016 up to now, every year, Mr. Pham Van Hieu has proposed innovations that were approved and applied in a professional manner. In particular, in 2016, Mr. Hieu put forward an innovation about "Solution for checking import-export goods by container scanning machine in the process of loading, unloading and storage of goods at Saigon port area 4 Customs Branch".

With this innovation, he advised to develop a regulation and coordination plan for screening between customs authorities and enterprises operating warehouses, yards and ports. Also, promulgating scanning procedures at Saigon port area 4 Customs Branch. Therefore, it has helped to manage import-export goods, timely detecting many violations of customs law.

Furthermore, in order to efficiently manage the transport of goods independently, in early 2018, Mr. Hieu set up and put into practice the “Solution to improve the management of the independent transport declaration at Saigon port area 4 Customs Branch". It has helped to manage and closely monitor the situation of independent transport declarations arising in the management area of the unit. At the same time, it remained the duty of customs officials who are in charge of a shift to fully perform professional activities when there is a defect, or the system is temporarily disconnected.

Moreover, the system will automatically alert overdue independent transport declarations which have not reported, in order to contact customs authorities for response, or timely track down in case of lost records, container…

The prize of "Excellent young officials, officers and employees" organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in order to reward and honor the members and youths who are officials, officers and employees have excellent achievements in training, working. Furthermore, they contributed many innovations that are applied in practice and implement the movement of "three responsibilities" deployed by the Central Union well.
