HCM City: More than 50 containers of imported used car tires have not been handled

VCN – According HCM City Customs Department, there are 55 containers of used car tires importing to 2 seaports of HCM City that are overdue 90 days and belong to the evidence of violated cases which has not been handled.

In that, there are 19 containers imported to Cat Lai port overdue 90 days, but the freight owner has not come to do the procedure for receiving goods yet. The remaining 36 containers importing to Phuoc Long port – Thu Duc are evidence of violated case which is handled by an investigation agency – the Ministry of Public Security.

As known, that in recent time, HCM City Customs Department has been very drastic in the handling of stagnant goods, including imported used car tires. So far, the unit has processed nearly 500 containers of tires under stagnant goods at the seaports in Ho Chi Minh City.

In particular, 385 containers of car tires have been auctioned, the rest are continuing to be auctioned.
