The Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department Tran Ma Thong expressed gratitude to Oppo Company.

Continuing to deploy the program "Business community and Customs are a reliable partners and accompany partners for development ", on March 21 and 22, 2017 the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department directly met enterprises with huge volumes of import and export goods via air to express the gratitude to enterprises with large tax payment amount and good compliance with the law on Customs; At the same time, the Department listened to the opinions of enterprises on difficulties and obstacles to have the measures to solve or propose to competent authorities to handle.

Working with Vimedimex Binh Duong One-member Company Limited, the Manager of Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch Do Thanh Quang said that the implementation of the Government's policy continues to facilitate business operations, Customs met enterprises to encourage and praise the contribution of enterprises to the State budget and listen to enterprises to share their difficulties and obstacles to solve together.

Suggesting enterprises to share their problems, the Manager Do Thanh Quang said that Customs procedures are part of the business chain of enterprises that are imports and exports. if this step has problems, it will affect production and business and profits of enterprises. In the process of Customs clearance procedure, if there is a problem, it will also affect the cost of the enterprise, such as Customs procedures, warehousing, shipping, specialized inspection, distribution of goods, etc. Customs authorities will record and report to the competent authorities to remove difficulties for enterprises.

Ms. Ngo Thuy Cat Tien, Deputy Director of Vimedimex Binh Duong One-member Company Limited, said that the Company imports medicines and medical equipment and import turnover of the company in 2016 was $US 432 million, the import turnover is expected to increase by about 10% in 2017 ($US 476 million).

"With a very large number of annual import declarations of over 1,800 declarations, which are mainly implemented via air, in the past years, the Company was always supported by the Customs authorities in the Customs clearance of goods. Specifically, the company’s Customs procedures were implemented at the priority gate and any obstacles were resolved immediately and urgent shipments were handled prior to Customs clearance procedures "- shared by Ms .Tien.

However, the Company reflected concerns about the high increase of costs for import-export goods due to additional costs from carriers. For example, the cost of import and export goods previously averaged 0.16%, but in the last three years, the cost increased accounting for 0.2%-0.3%. In addition, for enterprises specializing in importing medical equipment, Customs declarations with HS codes of these comodities were often classified into Red channel- physical inspection; The tax payment for import goods occasionally was pended due to network failure.

Answering obstacles of enterprises, the leaders of Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch said that the Customs authorities coordinated to the collection among three parties: Customs - Bank - Treasury, when paying money into the bank, but the payment information is not displayed on the Customs systems, the enterprises need to take payment receipts to submit to Customs officers in charge, to be cleared immediately. For shipments which need urgent clearance but that day falls on Saturday or Sunday, enterprises cannot implement Customs clearance due to obstacles in tax payment (day off of banks), the enterprises must contact the Team leader or leader of the Customs Branch to be handled immediately.

Earlier, at the meeting with Oppo Scientific and Technical Limited Company, the leaders of the company stated that, the company highly appreciated the enthusiastic support of the Customs. Over the past four years, Oppo Company has grown rapidly with a 100% growth rate. Currently, the company has accounted for the second largest market share in the mobile phone market in Vietnam with 25% of market share. Its 2017 target is grow its market share to 50%. With a long-term vision and target, the company always abides by the State's policies and laws.

For imports and exports, Oppo mainly imports and distribute mobile phones, so the Customs procedures are required to be quickly implemented to shorten the Customs clearance time in order to take the goods into the market. This requirement has been satisfied; so far there are no enterprises which were caused difficulties or harassed on Customs procedures.
